Visiting Upton Park the cost to you
Forget emotional etc

For 40 years must of visited on average 10 home games a season

Based on prices now ticket £60 + travel £20 + drink/food/extras £100 = £180 per visit x 400 games = oh fuck no wonder I'm broke

Don't even add in the away games + Europe

Re: Visiting Upton Park the cost to you
Depends on flight costs. BA and SAS, around 300 pounds, Ryanair, an average of 50.
Ticket? Whatever it costs, but I normally go in the legends bar.
Beer costs a fortune, just to keep Ted going, though that coat is heavily subsidised by Danish. :-)

I went to Stratford this morning to save my 11 minutes, but I lost them on the bus back.

From Carlisle today with the boy costs around £250. Daft amount of money over a season.

Hopefully wonderkid won't have to down so many as the football is worth staying half sober for.

Re: Visiting Upton Park the cost to you
Sounds like you like a regular piss up regardless of going to UP so it's not really a cost of going there as you spend that on a booze up anyway.

20 pints is conservative i would say...on a day like this where i`ll be in the pub at 9 and going all the way through to the boxing tonight I will EASILY do over 20 pints today

Re: Visiting Upton Park the cost to you
Easily spend £100+ every time I go drinking, so an all dayer at football can add up.

Took a half day last Friday in London and spend £145 on a pub crawl from Bethnal Green to St Pauls.

Everyones different, but under Allardyce I refused to enter the ground before I'd had 10 pints.

Who does £30-40 on food at a football match anyway?

We eating 5/6 burgers every time?

Money should not be your LARGEST concern if that is the case.

Re: Visiting Upton Park the cost to you

Beer and food: 120

even if do 30-40 on food that still means you got to be drinking about 20 pints

after you've said about the hour and half drive

Re: Visiting Upton Park the cost to you
Should knock off the beer & food element really as this is socialising which you would do regardless of going football if you like a beer and a bite eat whilst out for the day.
